Thursday, January 10,  Cottage Grove Civic Club Meeting at Iglesia Hosanna, 5718 Larkin Street between 7 and 8:30 pm.  The meeting agenda includes voting on the dues for 2008. Thursday, February 7, Cottage Grove Civic Club Business Meeting from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at 5718 Larkin Street, Iglesia Hosanna. The agenda includes a “Street Design Review’ by Mr. Jack Sakolosky, PE and Chief Engineer City of Houston.  His presentation will be followed by an update regarding TXDOT’s plans to construct a storm water detention channel in the city owned abandoned rail road corridor that lies north of Cottage Grove and south of the Eureka Rail Yard.  The 7000’ long channel that would outfall storm water to White Oak Bayou east of TC Jester, is being proposed to accommodate storm water volumes from roadway improvements planned for Washington Avenue between IH 10 and Old Katy Road, and from roadway expansion planned for Hempstead Highway south of 12 street.  All residents and guests are welcome.

Tuesday, March 4, The Precinct 71 Republican Primary Election will be held at Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary School.  Enter at 2116 Radcliff.  The Precinct 71 Democratic Primary will be held in a consolidated location with Precinct 55.  The address for the Democratic Primary will be available at Stevenson on March 4 and in a future calendar update.
