September Community Meeting Recap

Thanks to everyone who joined us for September's community meeting! If you weren't able to hop on the Zoom, here is the recording - you can also check out the slide deck and the meeting minutes.

A few key items from the meeting:

  • Your Civic Association leadership has been VERY busy advocating for infrastructure improvements! We've hosted walkabouts with City Council's District C, Super Neighborhood 22, the County Commissioner for Precinct 4, and our State Representative. We have learned that it is important to engage elected officials from all levels of government so we can make progress in making our neighborhood a better place to live. We are thankful to all these groups for listening - the progress is already happening!

  • There are TONS of fall events happening, starting with National Night Out on Tuesday, October 4. We hope to see you there!

  • We're voting at the November community meeting to see where you'd like to use the funds from Cottage Grove Civic Association. Will it be towards a new dog park? A mural on the TC Jester bridge? New trees for the new trail extension? Join us and let us know what you want!

  • Read more updates in the meeting minutes linked above!

We are grateful to State Representative Ann Johnson for visiting our neighborhood this past Sunday to talk about issues with TxDOT that impact Cottage Grove,

Like what you see here and want to support these efforts? Join the Cottage Grove Civic Association and help improve our community!
